The Canon EOS Rebel T1i features a 15.1Mp CMOS sensor (similar to the sensor found in the EOS 50D) for detailed, full volume prints, Live View for accurate pre-focusing and editing, continuous burst-rates of up to 3.4 fps, a DIGIC 4 image processor, and a scratch and glare-resistant high-resolution 3" Clear View LCD that allows for 100% image viewing from angles up to 170° off-center from the screen.
The Rebel T1i records a choice of full HD 1080p, 720p, and VGA video capture for true high-resolution video that beats or meets the image quality of pro camcorders.
The EOS Integrated Cleaning System combats dust through the use of high-frequency vibrations that shake dust loose from the sensor's front-mounted IR filter every time you power up and power down. It has an ISO rating from ISO 100 through 3200 in standard mode, and from 6400 to 12,800 in expanded mode.
The Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens is designed with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology. Its stabilization allows sharp hand-held shots at shutter speeds up to four stops slower.
The Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro Autofocus Lens is a compact ultra tele zoom that is ideal for shooting subjects that are difficult to approach such as sporting and theatrical events.

This is my first SLR camera. At first I was a little intimidated, having always used compact point-and-shoot cameras. This camera makes it so easy to take great pictures with the automatic setting. The quality of the pictures are amazing, and blow away the point-and-shoot cameras. This is a very user friendly camera, and I am already starting to experiment with the advanced features. Great camera at a great price!

We take it everywhere. It's easy to figure out and easy to use. The company Cameta was amazing to deal with. It shipped super quick to Germany too; about five days. And the combo pack deal has everything you need (plus some) and is way cheaper than anywhere we'd looked. We'd been shopping around for a couple months to find the right deal on an SLR camera. We love this camera!
This is a very complete package, actually you don't need nothing more. The camera is outstanding, right now I'm in the middle of the user's manual and I keep discovering very cool features (more then I expected).
The other items included probably are the downside of the package, the bag's quality is no good, looks and feels cheap. It includes a Tamron lens (70 - 300) which is very cool but it doesn't have stabilizer, being a large telefoto is very difficult to take stable pictures for a beginner, now I realize why the price was so low instead of the package that has the Canon counterpart of this Tamron lens.
8GB card included is excellent and sufficient, extra battery excellent and the lens cleaning kit also. The other items included haven't use them yet. My computer already has a card reader and the card wallet I don't see any use for it.
Overall, best package I found cost - benefit.
Read T1i's manual, you'll find very cool stuff!!, the only bad point it that this camera shoots HD video at full 1080p resolution but only at 20 frames/sec. I don't find that useful but anyway, this is a still camera not a video camera.
