The case can be removed while the wearing the wrist strap.

I've been using this case for about three weeks, including on a vacation. It's the perfect carrying case. First of all, it looks expensive and well made, definitely enhances the S90. Second, I like that it has a belt loop, it makes it sit very flush against the belt (the clip kind is more convenient to take off but those also stick out and hook around things all the time). Third, it is very well constructed and very customized for the Canon S90, even has a cutout around where the lens would be to reduce the size of the case to an absolute minimum.
To be sure there will be those who complain that there's no space for batteries and memory cards. I say, good thing it doesn't. That would only make this terrific case look bulky and awkward. Frankly the kind of person who would complain about the lack of size is really not someone who puts a premium on portability and looks, so they should just buy a off-the-shelf fanny pack for their junk and buy a bigger camera while they're at it. This camera, and its case here, is for those who want maximum portability with as much performance as possible.

This case is a perfect companion to the S90. It looks great and even smells great. The camera fits snugly and the suede interior protects the camera's aluminum finish from scratching. My only complaint is the protruding plastic "Canon" insignia on the front of the case. It looks tacky and vulnerable to scratches. An embroidered or embossed "Canon" would've been a much better idea. That said, this case is reasonably priced and well-made. Definitely recommended.

S90 fits perfectly. The case is hardly bigger than the S90 dimensions horizontally or vertically. Well constructed, and can't ask for more.
