Exactly what I needed!

Love it! I used this box on a 4-day motorcycle ride through mountain rain & deep-south sun. It kept my Garmin Nuvi 250W clean and dry the whole trip. And, it was very easy to see the screen and push the on-screen buttons even with gloves on. Installation was fairly easy but it did take a little preparation. I drilled 1 small hole in the knock-out plug (instead of knocking it out) and ran the direct-wire cable out through one of the unused screw holes in the mounting plate. Then I used some clear bath caulk to seal up the rest of the holes. There are a million ways to position this set up so, you can put the GPS right where you want it. If you want a solution that is extremely flexible and functional (and you're not so hung up on having precise instructions), then this box is for you.
RAM Mount for Garmin Nuvi 205W

I got the box of parts with no instructions, but it's pretty darned obvious how things go together. This is obviously a generic mount for a wide screen GPS. The 205W is rather thin from screen to back so I could have used about an additional 1/8" of foam more than came with it. That said, it is awesome with no shake or vibration and is almost infinitely adjustable. I got the product very quickly, and it was just as advertised. Building it involves a drill through the back of the case (to get your power cord in) and then cutting grooves for your cable to come out past the rear mounting flange which is metal (the case is a good heavy plastic). I've used it in the rain and in well below freezing weather and I'm quite satisfied both with the product and the seller. It would have gotten 5 stars with a bit more foam in it (which I bought at the fabric store for $1.00 so don't let that keep you from it)
have to work it a little

I bought it and even without instructions (no need to be Einstein) I installed it in about 15 minutes, the only thing is that you have to use a drill to make a pair of holes for the charger wire, even with that it still weather proof if you do it right. the first hole is where it says punch out for wire, and the second it is exactly if you look the case from the back, at the left of the screw hole. that new hole is to avoid to pinch the wire.
Don't Waste Your Money On This

What a disappointment from the Get Go. First, there are no instructions with the unit. The plug that you're supposed to run power wire through is directly in front of the pivot mount and no where near your power port on the Garmin 260W GPS. There is no rubber grommet to seal the hole once you knock the plug out, so it is not weather proof. The unit is far too bulky and heavy and it wobbles violently on my ATV. The flexible view screen on the face is wrinkled badly and difficult to see through. I have thrown the unit in the trash because the manufacturer will not refund my money. I do not recommend this mount at all. Use a sandwich bag if it rains, at least you can see through it.
