I bought this game because I wanted to have the same experience as with battleship on PC 10 years back. It certainly is much more complex than the 10 year old game. I use this game when I am bored playing the hardcore PS3 games. I have been having great fun with it for almost a month now. The graphics are stunning on the 1080p display. Responds greatly with the PS3 controller. It has tons of levels, so even if you are an expert ps3 player, do not expect it to be easy on you.
Single player and 2 player campaigns are kind of boring in the beginning, but gets very interesting after a while with increasing toughness of levels.
4 players can play at a time on the same TV (using 4 ps3 remotes), which is even more fun. Especially if you are inviting friends at home then its a good time-pass.
Couldn't yet play it online, so dont know about that.
Its very cheap (I bought it for $3.49)on amazon and downloads and installs easily from PS3 store.
So basically its a great game when you come home from work, too tired to use ur brain to play BF or MGS or COD and want to have fun.
The cover art says it all, how far we have come

If you recall the tank games of Intellivision and Atari days you will enjoy this beefed up modern version of Tank. The graphics are bright and look nice in 1080p, the controls are super responsive turning the traditional strategic warfare into a jumpy arcade blast fest. The single player campaign is fairly long but laid out on mostly similar maps with varying themes backgrounds and strategies needed to complete. There is a nice multiplayer map set for 4 player battles (which I haven't tried yet), and challenge mode to further your gameplay enjoyment. It is a basic premise but this is a budget title with surprising controls and value that harkens back to our gaming roots. (My hands still hurt from those stinking square intellivision controllers)
