Loaded with a mix of multimedia features and functions available on earlier PlayStation 3 models, as well as a series of new advancements and refinements, the PlayStation 3 120GB system is destined to push the envelope in the realm of Next-Generation entertainment.

This bundle includes both Infamous and Killzone 2.

What's Under the Hood
As with previous models, the PlayStation 3 120GB system features an IBM "Cell" processor and a co-developed NVIDIA graphics processor that together allow the system to perform two trillion calculations per second.

Yet the 120GB system manages to improve on this with its 45nm version of the processor, which although running at the same 60+nm speed as previous PS3 versions, uses less energy.

This makes the unit's smaller size and quieter fan possible. Along with the traditional AV and composite connections, the 120GB system also boasts an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port, which delivers uncompressed, unconverted digital picture and sound to compatible high-definition TVs and projectors.

(The system is capable of 128-bit pixel precision and 1080p resolution for a full HD experience) This console also provides for an extreme sound experience by supporting Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, as well as Linear PCM 7.1.

Finally, it features cross connectivity with your PC network and PlayStation Portable (PSP) and its pre-installed, 120GB hard disc drive allows you to save games as well as download content from The Internet.

Unlike The some other models of The PlayStation 3, The 120GB system does not offer backwards compatibility.

Blu-ray, PlayStation Network Downloads and Beyond
PlayStation 3 utilizes The Blu-ray disc media format, which gives you The best high-definition viewing experience on your television, by way of The format's ability to hold six times as much data as traditional DVDs.

This tremendous capacity, combined with The awesome power of The system's processor and graphics card, promises an endless stream of mind-blowing games, and other multimedia content.

This doesn't mean though that The PS3 is limited to Blu-ray discs. It also supports CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R formats.

In addition, PlayStation 3 system software includes BD Live support that allows you to play discs that support Blu-ray Disc Profile 2.0 (BD-LIVE), meaning you can also connect to The Internet while playing discs that support this format to obtain additional features.

And of course PS3 owners also receive free access to The PlayStation Network (PSN), where through The PlayStation Store and PlayStation Home, they can download games, game demos, movies, and other content, as well as chat with friends, play mini-games, compete in tournaments and explore dedicated game spaces.

Sensational Controller
The Dualshock 3 wireless controller included with The PlayStation 3 120GB system provides The most intuitive game play experience, with pressure sensors in each action button and The inclusion of The highly sensitive Sixaxis motion sensing technology.

Each hit, crash and explosion is more realistic when The user feels The rumble right in The palm of their hand.

It can even detect natural movements for real-time and high precision interactive play, acting as a natural extension of The user’s body.

Dualshock 3 utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless game play and The controller’s detachable USB cable to seamlessly and automatically charge The controller when connected to The PlayStation 3.

By integrating all of these features into The popular PlayStation controller design, The Dualshock 3 further enhances The advanced gameplay experience only available on The PlayStation 3 system.

Synch with Your Other Sony HDMI Devices
The PlayStation 3 120GB system features HDMI + Bravia Synch functionality. Bravia Synch allows connectivity between Sony HDMI products, without having to utilize multiple remote controls.

This means that with The push of one button users can control compliant Sony devices connected to your PS3 via HDMI cable.

What's in The Box:

  • New slimmer and lighter PS3 system with a 120 GB HDD, Internet-ready built-in Wi-Fi, 2 USB ports and HDMI + Bravia Synch output for 1080p resolution and connectivity between other Sony HDMI products.

All those who patiently waited for the proverbial bottom to fall on the PS3 price, this must be 'it'. At $299 for a PS3, 2 games and a $10 gift card, it's unlikely that it's going to get any better than this, at least this year.

Click here for PlayStation 3 120 GB, Infamous and Killzone 2 information and reviews.

Those who don't find these specific two games appealing should be aware that other BLACK FRIDAY BUNDLES, packing different games are available from other merchants [on Nov. 27]. Check the comment to this review for information on who offers these] bundles.

- inFAMOUS, Killzone 2 and $10 Black Friday credit (Amazon's)
- LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year and Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time.
- God of War Collection (1 & 2) and LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year
- UNCHARTED: Drake's Fortune and inFAMOUS
- inFAMOUS and Batman Arkham Asylum, and Dark Knight Blu-ray Movie

One thing to keep in mind is that all the other non-Amazon merchants are likely to charge you sales tax right away and, possibly, shipping so, money-wise, Amazon's deal is by far the best - probably $30-40 less than everyone else's so, even if you don't want the 2 games in Amazon's bundle, you could still order this from Amazon and possibly sell the games later and buy what you really want.

GOOD LUCK and HAPPY THANKSGIVINGS!!!
Great Bundle

If your reading this I have to ask this. Why? This is a win win situation. Two great games and a PS3. Buy this now before there gone. For all you parents out there both of these games are rated 9 out of 10 on most game sites so these arent just crappy bundle games that you tend to get with other bundles. BUY BUY BUY!!!!
Seller 'ShipSound' is out of their OVERPRICED mind!

The 5 stars are for the games. and in no way are they associated with the seller of the item (Shipsound)...

Are you kidding me! Shipsound is attempting to sell this bundle at nearly TWICE the original price of the bundle?!??!

I can go out and buy a Brand new Playstation 3 250gb and the two games that come with it for less money!

Third Party Sellers can just go to.... well i won't continue but they should just take this off and move it over to ebay.
The best deal in this year's Black Friday

Reviewer: Hetz,
PS3 slim with inFamous and Killzone 2. inFamous 2 is a GTA-styled game, but with better graphics, better gameplay (electric shock baby!!!),and twisted endings. Killzone 2 is considered as one of the best FPS this year and also one of the best PS3 exclusives. I know most people are currently playing MW2 (including me), but this game can't be missed by any FPS' fans. PS3 slim has almost similar features with the "phat" version, except Linux (That's all I can recalled). Still no backwards feature, so just get $99 PS2 if you want to play PS2 games. Although I believe that this can play PS1 games( not all, but some). I don't need to talk a lot about this bundle, since what included here are already known by most people. Go grab one, since there is no tax and you can get free shipping!!
Great bundle!!!!

Story
In Dragon Age: Origins the survival of humanity rests in the hands of those chosen by fate. You are a Grey Warden, one of the last of an ancient order of guardians who have defended the lands on the continent of Thedas throughout the centuries.

Betrayed by a trusted general in a critical battle, you must hunt down the traitor and bring him to justice. As you fight your way towards the final confrontation with an evil nemesis, you will face monstrous foes and engage in epic quests to unite the disparate peoples of a world at war.

A romance with a seductive shapeshifter may hold the key to victory, or she may be a dangerous diversion from the heart of your mission.

To be a leader, you must make ruthless decisions and be willing to sacrifice your friends and loved ones for the greater good.

Gameplay
Dragon Age: Origins is a 3D oriented RPG based in a dark, heroic, fantasy realm where moral choices have a lasting impression on the people you meet, the members of your own party and the world around you. The inclusion of subtitle "Origins" in the game's title refers to the six unique origin stories available to new heroes as a new game begins.

Each of these has an impact on the player's motivations and his or her experience, and renders a unique prelude, path, and possible ending(s) to the game.

There are many different endings to the game based on the origin story of the character and the choices you make as you play through the game.

The game features three character classes--warrior, mage, and rogue--and three races of being--Human, Elf or Dwarf--that can assume these classes.

Although most game elements, such as weapons, magic, etc., are available to any character, each class and race has different strengths, abilities and affinities which lend themselves to better utilizing different elements.

Dragon Age: Origins is a single player game based on party-based gameplay and combat where the player can join, control and quest with up to three non-player characters (NPC).

Players can also quest alone if they so choose, but with the chance of survival are slim. Convincing NPCs to join you, and treating them well may be necessary depending on the varying sentiments between the player and the NPC, or between the NPC's in the party based on the chosen history written into the origin story accepted at the beginning of the game.

This uncertainty allows for a variety of possible dynamics within the party ranging from open hostility, all the way to romance.

The game progresses in real-time via a pause-and-play tactical combat system that allows the player to check inventory levels, equip a character, etc. in a slight vacuum. Additional features found in the game include: a combination of a standard loot system and a currency system based on gold silver and copper; advanced character customization functionality; the use of poison, traps and herbalism; dual-wielding skills; and "spell combos," which allow players to chain together different spells to create a unique effects.

Best Western RPG in a Decade

Review Date: November 12, 2009
Reviewer: Christopher I. Johnson, Silver Spring, MD
Deluxe edition stuff at the very end.

If you don't want to read my retarded ode to Bioware, please skip ahead to where it says, "Actual Review!".

Ah, Bioware. You're like an old girlfriend. The one who defined love for me (1). Then you hurt me (2). I still loved you, but I didn't understand; why did you have to do that?

You went your way and I went mine. Eventually I learned to forget. I met new people; sometimes I'd fall in love, but it was never quite the same (3).

We'd see each other every couple years, and we'd have a lot of fun for a night or two (4). But other times I thought to myself, "What are you doing with your life? We could be happy together! Why are you doing this? (5). After these ultimately disappointing hookups I'd always dig up our old photos and go through them (6). I'm not ashamed to say I cried a little.

You always told me you were searching for something. Learning who you were, and how to be.

Then, one day in early November, you called me. You said, "I know now; I know who I am. I know where I belong: with you." And then you came back home to me.

Then it all became so clear; you HAD been learning. It was the old you, but a new version! Everything past was prologue to this; the version of you I always knew was there. I just needed to have faith, and you'd see it too, and we could get back what we had, what we'd always known was us.

I love you Bioware. I realize now I've always loved you. Thank you for being in my life.

Answer Key!

1. Baldur's Gate I and II, the infinity engine that led to Icewind Dale, Fallout, and Planescape

2. Neverwinter Nights

3. The Elder Scrolls, Neverwinter Nights 2, FFX, FFXII

4. KOTOR, Mass Effect

5. Jade Empire, Sonic RPG

6. all those replays of BGII

ACTUAL REVIEW!

This is the best cRPG experience I've had in ten years. It becomes very clear within the first few minutes of your Origin story that you're experiencing gaming history. Not the revolutionary, innovative, awesome new mechanic kind of gaming history. This is analogous to a new album from your favorite artist that's been doing experimental side-projects for the last few years, and now comes out with a solid, deep, meaningful effort in a well-established form.

All the old ingredients are here: rich, meaningful character relationships; deep, tactically challenging combat; well written, thought-provoking dialogue trees. In short, everything you knew Bioware was capable of, but hasn't been fully present in any of their games since BGII.

Don't get me wrong; I've liked almost all of their games since then (Jade Empire and the Sonic RPG being the exceptions). It's just that none have fully satisfied me, or they've left me with the nagging feeling that something's just not quite right (re: KOTOR and Mass Effect feel slightly underdone).

This game is an instant classic, from a master of the genre. It's the kind of game that will be added to the roster of eminently replayable games (BGII, Fallout 1+2, Morrowind, Final Fantasy [pick your favorite], etc.). It's as good as or better than all of those.

Now, those of you that have NOT played Baldur's Gate, Fallout, Icewind Dale, NWN2, beware.

As evidenced by the very few negative reviews, the ad campaign for this game is not very representative of the content. This is a true western RPG, especially if you're getting it on the PC. Combat is challenging on every difficulty mode but easy.

IT IS BY NO MEANS a hack-and-slash or action RPG!!!

I still recommend it, but be prepared to open your mind to a new experience.

For those of you trying to decide on which version to get, here are some things:

If you played and loved Baldur's Gate, and got it because you bought into the "spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate" thing, get it for the PC, no question.

On the console, the camera is locked in behind the character in the style of Knights of the Old Republic or Mass Effect. This is fine for those who fell in love with Bioware since their console years began, but not if you want to play it for full tactical enjoyment.

Also, if you have a capable PC, the graphics are far superior to the consoles, which is often the case.

360 vs. PS3?

PS3 looks better, 360 moves smoother. 6 of 1.

Don't hesitate. Buy this game.
Learn it,
Live it,
Love it:

Bioware is Back.

P.S. For those of you getting the Deluxe Edition, the added content is completely worth it. You don't have to feel cheated; they did it right. Worth every last penny.
It's Truly the Dragon Age!

Reviewer: That Review Guy, Florida, the sunshine state.
I cannot praise this game enough! it will be one of those I play again and again!
you pick one of many origins (i.e. elf, red warden etc)(I chose Elf Mage)
and then begin with your origin story (which is like watching a full length movie and so well written the time just flys by)
and then you're tasked with your first quest and the game begins.
some of the quests have moral choices and pull on your emotions of things like power over friendship and the feel you have an impact upon the surrounding world. the characters control via one of two ways,
one is using the hack & slash method though this is harder then hitting pause so you can set all your mages attacks etc.
there's a lot of micromanagement in this but for loot mongers and rpg lovers this will be one of the years ultimate treats I assure you. there seems to be loot everywhere for those that search every area rather thourough. I also must say the amount of DLC available at this time for the collectors edition is amazing.
the graphics are excellent (though not mind blowing)
particle effects are wickedly done and the quests are crafted well enough to let you know you have many approaches to each "situation"
if you weren't lucky enough to get this collectors edition no worries I know the goodies will be released as DLC to everyone eventually since they listed prices (wardens keep 6.99 and the stone prisoner. 14.99)

Graphics: Excellent and crispy. 4 stars great spell effects!

Sound: the voice work is Top Notch and hundreds of actors
even the crickets put on a great perfomance! 5 stars!

Gameplay: the micromanagement might put a few off but most will never let go of the controller since they got the controls so spot on for the ps3 on this title. it's amazing! 5 stars.

Fun: Yes Yes Yes! betray a friend or help him in a "forbidden" quest, help a grey warden or not?, kill a demon or trust the mouse? so many choices it's unreal! want to slay a dragon? you can!
want to go into dungeons and hack away, you can!
the game is brilliant what more can I say? 5 Stars!!

Overall: the package wraps up nicely into a 5 star Must Have!
the Gods at Bioware have greated the best "baldurs gate" style game yet! it's brilliant! you have to buy it asap if you don't you're missing THE BEST RPG experience of the year and possibly in my lifetime.
this coming from a Hardcore
70's D&D player!!!
that's what I'd call an endorsement!

Reviewer: Nichole M. Parrish, Phoenix, AZ United States
I normally don't write reviews for games because I hate reading them. However I had to stop and say how amazing this game is. Dragon age origins was an amazing game and if it helps them make a number 2 then I will write reviews until my face turns blue. I am a gamer bu its hard for me to play games with full time work and school. But for this game I found every small amount of time to play.

I DO understand why people have been rating it one star because of the glitches. I did not have any of the really big problems like my save files going corrupt or not getting my achievement points or my DLC not working. I did get the glitch where my videos would spazz out or in the last battle when your waiting for the wave of Dark spawn that did not show up until 20 mins later. However I just turned off my xbox and turned it back on and it all worked fine. That was my only big problem on it.

The graphics were really good, people keep bitching about them, but bio-wear is not Square-Enix they don't have 100+ 3D molders on their game. And personally the ONLY thing that bugged me about the graphics was your PC's FACE!! He/She has 3 different face expressions in the whole game and all the other NPC's had happy face, Alistair even have the "WTF?" face expression it was amazing! But your character has a blank look on their face like they had their soul sucked out. That was the only real problem I had with the graphics and I hope they mod that a little if they make a DA:O2. Other then that people looked like people and orcs and demons looked as they were supposing to. What was the PROBLEM? (referring to the people who constantly bitch about them).

The Story and the conversations were so in depth and detailed. They did not just give you a group of people they gave you a group of people with a story, a past, dreams and all with unique and different personalities. They did not have the generic lone wolf or goofy little girl. And FOR ONCE IN A GAME the characters were NOT 14 years old. THANK you Biowear. I don't mind a few RPG's where 10-14 year old kids are saving the world. You don't have conversations where your characters say "OH poopie!" its not a game one man against the world. The story felt like in that situation something like that could happen you build and army and so on so fourth. And they finally had a game with adult relationships! You could build them and they simply were the best love stories in any game ive ever played, each character you could build a relationship was different then the next. It was very well done. And for those people who bitched about people talking to much DID YOU KNOW you could SKIP it? I played the game 5 times and after the second play through I know what they say and such I SKIPED it... amazing eh?

The battle system was fun but I did have a problem with my first play threw at the arch demon fight all my party members stopped fighting or healing... the next time I played I did not have that issue so I figured it was another glitch... but other then that it was fun and for the people "it was a button mash game" Did we play the same game? Because when I played you could set different spells ant attacks on OTHER buttons and use them. And did you know if you held down was it LB? or one of the L buttons it switched to 3 DIFFERENT ATTACKS. Whoa try playing the game before you call it a button masher. Drakenguard was a button masher dragon age origins was not. And yes on easy mode you don't need to plan .. but have you guys tried it on Hard mode?! Then bitch that there's no "planning needed" id like to see you guys take on the cult guy with out a plan of attack.

One last thing to say before I finnish is did anyone read the game informer review on Dragon age origins? They gave it an 8 and I swear the guy did not play the game. If you run out of innovatory space GO TO A STORE AND SELL STUFF, or heres another idea they have in the game. BUY a backpack!!! You get more innovatory space moron! Sorry had to vent here because If I write a letter to game informer then I don't think they would give it to the reviewer. Play the whole game before you guys bitch.

Great game! But if you are weary from the low reviews the rent it, but it's a good buy!
"The playing around part is AWESOME"

Reviewer: James Sexton, Central NY
I just finished the game and I gotta say it is awesome! It held me glued to the console for every available moment for weeks.

Graphics: 4/5 - I have seen better but they are more than adequate
Sound: 5/5
Gameplay:
* Excitement: 5/5
* Replay: 5/5 - There are quite a few different decisions that will impact the story line.
* Depth: 5/5 - Great sense of a real world you are travelling through.
* Character development: 5/5
* Immersement: 5/5
* OVERALL: 5/5

Compared to a game like "Oblivion-Eldar Scrolls" it is more linear in feel. In Oblivion one could wander at will all over the countryside, not the case here. Of course in Oblivion the non-linearity is illusory if one is doing the main quest. In Dragon Age you can do the main quests in any order and there are quite a few side quests. The side quests are for the most part disappointing. You agree to do them and in most cases you will stumble into the object and eventually report back and get your reward. No thought or planning.
Awesome Game and Worth Every Red Cent

This game is awesome and I am sad it took me so long to finally get to playing it. I buy all the games that come out. I know not to bright but after 20 years of working my tail off I finally get to play catch up and play video games. I am 53 and love sci-fi, Anime and video games. This is one game that every PS3 owner should have on their shelf. Hey! What can I say some hot babes lots of voices for every person and not boring at all. My son plays a lot too and I am disappointed he didn't tell me to get with it on this one. I am sure I am going to be playing this one for the next six months like I did with Fallout 3. I have a lot of catching up to do. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I am.

11 May 10 (note) Not buying new games as they come out anymore. Everybody likes to get the goodies with a new game. codes for items, etc. Well this last week I opened a couple of new games Heavy Rain was one of them and the code had already been used. So I informed sony and Amazon No more pre-orders from me. I canceled about $700.00 worth of games. Amazing they don't even care. Oh well. This game is worth every penny.

LEGO Rock Band game logo

Gameplay
Action in LEGO Rock Band is nearly identical to the familiar flow of Rock Band gameplay, only with a LEGO twist. Your goal is to run through a succession rock tinged family friendly song tracks with your band, consisting in multiplayer modes of up to four avatars in LEGO form controlled with guitar, bass guitar, microphone and drum controllers.

The game features compatibility with most existing Rock Band and Guitar Hero instrument controllers for the appropriate platform. One of the fun LEGO influences is in the tablature flowing across the screen that directs your play.

This is in the form of LEGO blocks color coded for each controller. As players successfully complete songs and rock challenges, they can collect LEGO 'studs,' with which they can customize their avatar and other in-game goodies in true LEGO Snap-On fashion.

In addition, players can unlock additional content and collect amazing vehicles, which can transport their band from local gigs at rock clubs to epic stadium shows and even fantasy settings on Earth and beyond.

The game contains a variety of play modes including Quickplay and Challenge, and will feature music both supplied on the game disc as well as downloadable content.

Different from the original, but still fun!

Review Date: November 22, 2009

I just completed the game and had a blast doing it! The formula has been changed a bit from the earlier Lego games, but there are some welcome new additions, too. The pros: better weapon function with Wii remote targeting (similar to Batman's Batarangs), much better vehicle challenges that are actually fun and allow you to get in and out of the vehicle, improved graphics, lots of large areas to explore, no repeated content from first Lego Indy game. The cons: no treasure chests within the levels (This has been replaced with other hide-and-seek bonus stuff, but I still miss replaying the levels to find treasure.); shorter levels with frustrating 'boss' levels and repetitive bonus levels; no single 'home base' for checking progress (confusing at first). All in all, this is a more sophisticated game, but I wish they had stuck a little more closely to the original format. Still, if you love the Lego games, you'll definitely be hooked!
Love the second one too!

My kids and I play and have solved all the Lego games, including Batman, Star Wars and the 1st Indiana Jones game. We love them! Its nice that this one has a new layout so that we can be challenged a little.

The play is a bit different from the others. Instead of neatly numbered levels, you need to locate the levels. The main levels are easy to find and you just follow the green arrows. After completing the 5 main levels, you need to explore more to find the 10 bonus levels. Instead of minikits and finding the single red brick, you need to complete the bonus levels and collect 3 sets of 10 colored bricks. Then you can purchase the extras, like fast build and score x4. The co-op play is great; its nice not to have to disagree with your partner about which way to go.

This game is a lot of fun for all ages. My 6 year old and 11 year old enjoy it as much as I do!
Change is good people

My family loves this game. The differences from the other Indiana Jones game are good, we can drive more vehicles, (my son loves the tree cutter) the puzzles are more challenging, we actually have to target the items to shoot or whip, the solutions are not as obvious as before, the split screen is great, (no more dragging the other player) the boss fights are fun and my son has already spent hours building his own level. Changing up the formula is a good thing, it keeps the game interesting. I wouldn't want to buy a new version of the same game, please continue to make changes and improvements, good job developers. I'm looking forward to the Harry Potter game. Maybe they'll do a James Bond lego game too someday, think of the possibilities...
Fantastic!

The new split screen action is a great addition. Now two players can stray far away from each other and be independent. My 9 year old son is addicted!
Pure enjoyment!

Review Date: February 26, 2010
Reviewer: Gamer Dan,
When this game was announced I thought it would be a cheap revision of the first one (that was pretty good by the way). I thought it would be the first game with an additional hub for Crystal Skull movie, but NO! The game was made from scratch, with a much improved game engine. It's not so driven by the movie stories like the first one, but it freed the game developers to produce a serious LEGO madness... Indy style!

The co-op was improved as well, and now you and your partner can work on different parts of the stage without distance limitations, and that increases the fun in co-op play a lot.

In short, Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, is a great game for both Indy and LEGO franchises.
