Complete Review of DOOM First off for those of you that were able to experience the beta the final release version is very much improved. Overall the gameplay is very smooth. 4 hours in and the game has already exceeded my post beta expectations. The shooting and QTE finishers are very satisfying. I will not ruin the gameplay but I will say that the story is a direct omage to the original doom. Im not going to bore you with a long and drawn out review of the game but I will say that this is well worth a buy. If you are a fan of the previous doom series then this will likely be your new favorite. The graphics are a little disappointing but ID graphics engine hasn’t quite been up to par for quite some time so this is top be expected. I will say though the graphics by no means are poor just a tad washed out IMO. The game play is very fast paced so if you are one that likes to take things slow then you may not enjoy the game. Much like the multiplayer beta the entire game is fast with tons of in your face…

No Doom and Gloom here. Remember how disappointing most of the Alien VS Predator games were? When you wanted so much more from them? While this game has nothing to do with those games, I wish the gameplay would have matched what this game gives out and for their next AVP, I suggest they take notes. This game is brilliant. This is my first Doom game ever. No really. I know, I feel lame saying that. And I”m an old school gamer too! I just never felt the itch to play it. But after playing this, I really need to go back and see what all the fuss is about. It’s not that I didn’t like first person shooters either, I loved Wolfenstein 3D back in the day, and my friends always said Doom is kinda like that, but better! But I just never got into playing, so I can’t really compare to it.But that said, as a stand alone game as a first person shooter, I was very very impressed with this game and anyone who likes to run and gun and shoot monsters with awesome sound, graphics and gore? Well…

From a Classic Doom Fan to the many new Doom Fans! I’m 33 years old. I’ve been playing video games since the late ’80s, so I have some history with them. I played the original DOOM and DOOM2 when they came out in the mid ’90s. I feel like I’m back in the glory Doom days, with upgraded graphics, awesome weapons, and crazy as hell monsters. That is what DOOM is all about. Some big pros: There is a more fleshed-out story now. Great for people who like a bit of lore and backstory to their missions. But, it’s not oversaturated and drowning you in it. Unlike some games that dump cutscenes and FMVs on you.The combat is fluid and fun. It’s highly satisfying to glory kill the different demons. The weapons are quite bad-a**. The graphics are sharp. The music is fast paced during combat. The higher difficulties will make you cry! This version is a very well planned & executed reboot of the famous franchise that literally CREATED Deathmatch. It’s not the grandfather of all shooters (that belongs to Wolfenstein),…
